My wife and I first worked together in a construction-focused department at a major hardware retailer. I started that job right after graduating from a local faith-based recovery program. It’s where we built real relationships with people in the remodel, renovation, and construction world.
That experience led us into windows and doors, another side of the building industry. There we gained hands-on skills and learned how to coordinate construction projects. I found a passion for being on job sites, learning the ins and outs, and seeing what drives true excellence and customer satisfaction. At the same time, I felt called to pour into others in recovery the same way people poured into me when I needed it most.
My wife is my biggest supporter, and she has always had a passion for people. Together we started working on ways to support our family that would bring joy and a better quality of life, not only for us, but for the people we get to serve. With our combined knowledge and experience, we knew cleaning would be a great foundation for making a difference in our community.
That idea became SPD Builder Services. General contractors carry a heavy load. They’re up against countless variables and tight timelines, and we want to take something off their plate and do it right.
It’s also a springboard for something bigger. Our goal is to use post-construction services to create jobs for people working to change their lives, in a place where they’re welcomed. Every job we take on helps a contractor finish strong and helps someone build a new start.
